Born and brought up in Kolkata, India, I completed my higher secondary education from Loreto House. Thereafter I moved to Pune to pursue my Bachelor of Design in Communication Design from Symbiosis Institute of Design. I won three prestigious awards there, namely, trophy for the best diligent student and two gold medals for the Best Outgoing Student of the Year and the Jayatee Deshmukh Trust Scholarship for the Best Outgoing Girl Student at the University Level.
Ogilvy & Graphics Beyond
Interned at Ogilvy Kolkata for a while and dabbled with advertising, after which interned at Graphics Beyond, a design studio based out of Mumbai, India where I explored graphic and spatial design.
National Institute of Design
Graphic Design at National Institute of Design was my calling for post-graduation where I got interested in the French language and completed my Delft A1 Level in French from L’Alliance Francaise Ahmedabad. I did a lot of print, illustration and system level projects at NID concerned with social welfare and entrepreneurship.
Indialogues & Jagriti Yatra
My project AATO (Accessible Auto Transport Operations) got selected as one of the top 10 design entries in India by Indialogues, which also got me a scholarship to attend a life changing train journey with Jagriti Yatra on social entrepreneurship.
My entry also got selected as the winner by Adobe, India’s ‘Design Against Corruption Challenge’ that resulted in an internship at Adobe Bangalore and finally moving to Noida for working with the InDesign team as User Experience Designer.
I worked with the InDesign team for 3.5 years, mainly related to typography and core functionality features. In collaboration with the team, I got awarded 2 patents for OpenType enhancements and spoke at Adobe MAX about InDesign. Spoke at Adobe Tech Summit 2017 about the Future of Design Tools.
Currently, I am Senior Experience Designer for Adobe Experience Manager Assets trying to understand the space of Digital Marketing.
Having lived in myriad cities during my design education I have learned and adapted to new people and languages. My journey in design is reflective of all such collective experiences around me.
