Introducing… The Visual Lens

An easy way to learn from Visual Inspirations

AI could be your Assistant,

Teacher or Muse

As creatives, we browse and watch visual inspirations every day. What are we trying to learn from these visuals?

Can machines help us learn from visual inspirations and extract elements and ingredients to understand the design process better?

Storyboards

  • 01

Anna is sitting at her desk and working to complete an assignment that has a tight deadline. We imagine scenarios where Anna gets help to complete her tasks with the aid of Sensei Creative Assistance.

  • 02

The creative brief that she receives from her client Joe, she allows Sensei to read and extract the important pointers and ingredients from her creative brief.

  • 03

Sensei Creative Assistance analyses the Creative Brief and extracts the most salient points and keywords from the brief, along with key visuals and design ingredients.

  • 04

After studying the creative brief, the Assistant can now start recommending apt imagery based on past information. So it starts recommending apt movie posters from a large search pool.

  • 05

The Assistant can also now start analysing different areas of the artworks and extract design ingredients and also give a design score to an artwork based on composition and design principles.

  • 06

Based on the elements on canvas, the assistant can start guaging intent and has a series of ingredients and elements to curate based on what Anna is already trying to create.

  • 07

Anna leaves her workstation to go catch on a coffee at a nearby coffee shop. This also shows the Assistant should be surface agnostic and should adapt to the tools and surfaces of the Creative.

  • 08

At the coffee house, Anna sketches some concepts in her moleskin and quickly captures some images of her sketches with her mobile phone. The Assistant is omnipresent across surfaces.

  • 09

The Creative Assistant can intelligently recommend key design workflows analysing the artwork. It starts vectorising Anna’s hand drawn sketches to accelerate Anna’s design work.

  • 09

Next time Anna opens her favorite creative tools, the Assistant has already made a library of design ingredients analysing key inspiration visuals of her creative assignment.

  • 10

Based on an area selected on the canvas, the Assistant can start recommending design variations and recommendations based on the selection on the canvas.

  • 11

Based on the selection, the Assistant can start recommending compositions, fonts, color variations etc based on the canvas artworks.

  • 12

Anna reaches home and while she is showring, she suddenly remembers a tag line and asks Alexa to save it so that her Creative Assistant can access it later.

  • 13

The Creative Assistant can now extract text from allied devices and generate quote variations based on a stored or saved text. This helps Anna quickly choose from a pool of suggested quote variations.

  • 14

Anna can now quickly change the tagline of her artwork based on suggestions made by her Sensei Creative Assistant.

  • 15

The Creative Assistant can also help identify common design errors like spellings, overset text, watermarks, once an artwork has reached a state of completion and needs to be handed over.

  • 16

The Assistant can also start recommending design trivia or design styles based on the artwork on canvas and start recommending similar styles or curated imagery based on what it has studied or analysed.

  • 17

The Assistant can also help Anna with constructing social media files of her artwork in a matter of minutes. It can construct social media templates based on the artwork on canvas

  • 18

The Assistant can accelerate the process of creating social media templates which was previously a tedious process by designers to construct.

  • 19

Anna has learnt a new way to work and completes her creative engagements faster with the aid of the Sensei Creative Assistant. She no longer has to complete the tedious time consuming workflows alone.
